1st Feb, 2019 - Congratulations to club member, Elsa Snyder! She was recently named as an Squash BC Emerging Female Leader for her work with organizing the Women's Squash Week event at BCAC last September plus her other efforts in promoting women's squash at our club. Way to go Elsa and thanks for volunteering your time to promote the sport of squash!
Cardio Studio: Workout on a variety of computerized cardio equipment to increase your level of cardiovascular fitness and burn calories. You can watch the news or sports, listen to music or read while you exercise.
Cybex & Nautilus Studio: You have a choice of over 20 stations for body toning, firming and strengthening. Weight Training Gym: A comprehensive array of free weights, benches and cable stations are available to you for strength training, toning and firming exercises.
Fitness Training: New members receive two, one hour private consultations by a qualified instructor; it includes a personal assessment and goal planning session, personalized exercise program and equipment orientation. After 12 weeks a second assessment is administered to determine how your new fitness routine is benefitting you, and help set new goals. A follow up fitness counseling session is included once every 3 months, to keep you motivated and on track with your exercise goals. One-on-One Personal Training: This more comprehensive program is available for an additional fee; we offer exceptional service to help a member meet their exercise objectives. Lifestyle Program: Choose from a variety of energizing classes which will maximize your cross-training efforts. We offer up-to-date methods of training which include Boot Camp, Power Pace Spinning, Interval Sculpt n Tone and classic favourites such as low impact workouts. Beginner to advanced B.C.A.C. members can find enjoyment and healthful benefits from our wellness classes such as Candlelight Vinyasa Yoga, Power Yoga and Pilates/Yoga Fusion. All instructors are B.C. Parks and Recreation (BCRPA) registered leaders, and hold CPR and First Aid certifications. Please refer to a lifestyle schedule for class types, times and descriptions.
Squash: Five air conditioned international style squash courts, which can be reserved up to 7 days in advance for 45 minute matches.
Squash Programs: The club offers a variety of programs, whether you wish to play at a recreational or competitive level. During your orientation, our racquets pro will be happy to explain our various programs which include: box leagues, club ladder, interclub league and open/club tournaments.
Racquetball: 2 air conditioned racquetball courts are available for 45 minute bookings.
Lessons: Private or group lessons in squash are available from our club professional. New members are entitled to a complimentary one-on-one 45 minute orientation.
Racquet And Stringing Repairs: Full racquet repair service is available through the pro shop.
Complimentary towels provided. Steam rooms in both men's and women's change rooms.
