My Background

Playing History:
My parents played and introduced me to the sport when I was 8. I loved the sport from the very beginning. As a junior I competed at a national level with a best finish of 3rd place at the Canadian Nationals in the U16 draw. Yes back in my day there was a U16 draw (now U17) I was always ranked top 5 nationally as a junior and was able to compete at the Canada Games twice, the first time, at age 14, as a member of Team Sask and the second as a member of Team BC where we brought home a Gold medal! I have competed as a member of the BC Men's Provincial team on numerous occasions capturing Gold in 2001.
Coaching Experience:
I have been fortunate to have many great students and have taken some to the National Championships with a variety of results. In 2007 (Whitehorse) and 2011 (Halifax) I was coach for Team BC at the Canada Winter Games. In 2007 both the Junior Men's and Junior Women's teams won bronze while in 2011 the Junior Men brought home silver with the Junior Women's squad taking home a Gold medal. In 2009 I was Team Canada coach for the Junior Panamerican Squash Championships in San Salvador, El Salvador. The Junior Women won team gold while Canada also won silver and bronze in the Junior Women's individual event.
