This is the 4th annual Cedar Hill Summer Tournament Event. We wanted to make it something special and different and thought it would be good to give the Juniors their opportunity to run an event. They are in charge and giving back to all the people that have helped them through the years. Draws of 8 people based on squash bc rankings. Everyone gets 1 match per day over 3 days or 3 matches over 2 day (finishing Saturday, if the numbers permit)

Doug Hawkes was a devoted player, tournament organizer and passionate advocate for Squash development in Victoria from 1960 through to the 1980’s. During that time, Doug mentored a number of local Junior players and it was fitting after his death in 2005 at the age of 82, that a fund benefitting Junior Development at his home club be established in Doug’s name.

Net Proceeds of this event will be used to help perpetuate the Doug Hawkes fund for the benefit of aspiring young Squash players at Cedar Hill.
