Hosted by the University of Cape Town Squash Club, the African Junior Squash Open aims to bring top junior players from all over Africa to the "University on the Mountain" for a weekend of squash.
Boys and Girls Sections for u11, u13, u15, u17, and u19 (All players must wear protective eyewear on court). To be eligible for a section, a player must be younger than the set age on the last day of the tournament. For example, to enter the u17 section, a player must be 16 or younger on the 3rd of August 2025.
Round 1 starts on the 1st of August at 16h00
Final Round ends 16h00 on the 3rd of August.
African Junior Open T-shirt is an optional extra and can be purchased from the UCT Clubhouse throughout the tournament
TOURNAMENT RULES:
1. Draw: All draws will be on SportyHQ.
2. Venue: All matches will be played at the University of Cape Town Upper Campus Squash Courts at the specified times. Players must arrive 25 minutes before the appointed time of their match and must report to the Tournament Organiser. Should a player arrive more than 10 minutes after the scheduled time, they may forfeit the match.
3. Matches will be the best of 5 games, and the Dunlop Pro-Revelation ball will be used. Scoring of Par 11 will be used for all sections.
4. Marking: All players must mark the match immediately following their match.
5. Entry fee will not be refunded to players who withdraw after the draw has been done.
6. Players agree that WP Squash may use photos/images/videos of the players for purposes such as celebrating achievements and publicising squash events, and may be posted to any social media platform.
