About

The Hong Kong Masters Squash Open, 2023 will be a WSF Masters Tour event. Please note that all entrants will need to have a WSF Squash Player Identification Number (SPIN) (details here) allowing results data to be gathered for easy reference and for future event rankings.

• Great international competition over 3-4 days.
• Open to men and women aged 35 and above.
• Individual tournament draws by age-group.
• “Monrad” draw system to ensure all participants have the opportunity to play throughout the competition.
• Subject to draw sizes. play will start from 5pm on Thursday 1st of June and ending around 2pm on Sunday 4th.
PLUS:
• Full access to HKFC – Asia’s best sports club.
• Fun social events including opening ceremony on Thursday 1st and players dinner on Saturday 3rd.
• Player t-shirt.

ENTRIES
Entrants must have achieved the minimum age of the entered category on or before May 31st. Each player can only enter one age-group.
Entrants are fully responsible for their own medical insurance.

WITHDRAWALS
• Entry fee will be refunded in full in the event of withdrawals before the closing date for entries.
• Fees are non-refundable from closing date for entries.

FORMAT
All matches will be played at the Hong Kong Football Club, 3 Sports Road, Happy Valley, Hong Kong.
Subject to entry numbers draws will use the Monrad* system in age-groups from 35-39 to 80+. Monrad is a multi-match draw format whereby all players continue to play, win or lose through to a final finishing position.
In the event of less than 8 entries in any age-group the Organizer may, at its discretion, combine adjacent age-groups or run small draws in a round-robin format. Affected players will be advised accordingly.
The format should provide for a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 scheduled matches per player through the event.

SOCIALS
Gala dinner at HKFC on Saturday, June 3rd.
Friday June 2nd local experience including Junk Boat and Dai Pai Dong experience

SCHEDULE
Entries Close May 8th (or when event capacity is reached)
Seeding published May 15th
Draws Published May 25th
Tournament starts : June 1st 5pm
Finals: June 4th from 10am

ACCOMODATION
Tournament hotel:
Dorsett Wanchai Hong Kong, THE HOTEL IS A 2 MIN WALK FROM THE CLUB.

A) Premier City View Room
HK$1,100N per room per night for single / double occupancy
- The above rate is inclusive of daily breakfast for 1 or 2 person.

B) Superior Room (Frosted Window)
HK$950N per room per night for single / double occupancy
- The above rate is inclusive of daily breakfast for 1 or 2 person.

NOTES
• All matches will be best of 5 games to 11 points, point-a-rally (PAR 11).
• Players much check-in at the tournament office at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled matches.
• Players should be available to referee and/or mark the match immediately following their own.
