The Belvedere Open has a rich history, having been a notable fixture in the Leinster and Irish Squash calendar for 60 years. The Handicap tournament is unique and allows players to play competitors of different standards. Starting soon after Christmas and running into the New Year, it has proved to be a great way to burn off the excess of the festive period and be well prepared for the new season.

The scoring system is hand-in / hand-out to 9.
Each player is assigned a handicap consisting of the number of hands and a starting score for each game.
The schedule and handicaps will be published ahead of the tournament start.
No matches will be scheduled for New Years Eve or New Years Day.
