- Due to a growing entry uptake each year, please be aware that you may have to play a first round match on Friday evening. This will be the case for all draws that have 16 or more entries!

- Saturday night there will be an Oktoberfest themed players party at the club with some top food and drinks deals on for everyone! This will kick off around the time the last matches are wrapping up that evening. Fancy dress very welcome, more info to follow soon.

ALSO:

Please note that there will have to be an overall entry limit for the event given the amount of court allocation and time we have at the venue. We will endevour to get as many entries in as we can but we may have to close the entry list before the listed closing date if we are getting overly full!

Current Men's & Ladies Open Prize Fund (May Increase Pending Further Sponsor Support):

Winner: £500

Runner Up: £300

Semi Finalist: £200

ABOUT THE GRADES:

This year we are trialling A, B and C Grades for the Mixed event, and Ladies A and B Grades. This is in a bid to try and encourage more entrants into the open categories while still making sure players get lots of matches and equal competition!
Both events will all start out as the ''A Grade'' with Mixed first round losers moving straight into the C Draw. Ladies first round losers to the B draw. These then play out separately.
Then in the Mixed A/B category, the loser of this next round then moves into the B Grade, with the remainder finishing up the A! So everyone will be guaranteed 3 matches in the event, with prizes for each Grade finalist.

In theory the Grade levels should roughly be:

A Grade - Top county team, UK Racketball Series event A Grade regulars, top U19 juniors
B Grade - Lower county team, UK Racketball Series event B Grade regulars, newly converted Squash players, U19 and under juniors
C Grade - UK Racketball Series event B Grade occasionals, club players, newly converted club level Squash players, U15 and under juniors.

Hi Mike you did a brilliant job . The only suggestion I would have is to try and keep the age groups play at the same time of day

Great tournament. Only blight was the behaviour of a very small minority of players who failed to adhere to the spirit of sportsmanship that you would hope would be integral to event. No fault of organisation or event. Great event
